Through a partnership with Georgia Adopt-A-Stream, Cobb County Watershed Stewardship offers the training and tools to be a chemical monitoring volunteer.  Chemical monitoring consists of taking water samples and testing for pH, levels of dissolved oxygen, temperature, and conductivity.   These chemical tests gather information about the aquatic habitat and its ability to sustain life.

Participants are required to attend a certification workshop and adopt their site for monthly monitoring.  Regular monitoring of your waterway allows you to compare your results over time.
