BACK to School Programs
Community Stewardship Grants
Develop a special project to involve students and other citizens in watershed
stewardship activities. The project should help improve water quality in Cobb
County watersheds. Examples include installing a rain garden or rain barrels,
or starting a community involvement project. Citizen groups, non-profit
organizations, schools, and others are encouraged to apply. Grants up to $500 are available.

Color Your Watershed Mural Grants
Increase student awareness of water quality issues and share that knowledge
with the entire school through a public art project. The mural can be interior
or exterior, tile, acrylic, oil, or multi-media. Grants up to $500 are available.

Educator Training Grants and Sponsorships
Funding is available to assist teachers with the registration cost of attending
environmental education training. This funding can be used to cover the cost
of a local teacher workshop. A volunteer service commitment is required. The maximum allocation per school is $250.00.
